Tribe Network and Venn Innovation are partnering to bring more support to the region!
Tribe Network is working to co-create a more inclusive, diverse, equitable, and accessible entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem. Its aim is to provide racialized entrepreneurs and business owners with access to networks, capital, local innovation hubs, world-class coaching, peer-to-peer mentorship, and other entrepreneurial support services essential for starting and scaling their businesses.
Venn Innovation is dedicated to fostering a dynamic, globally successful technology industry in New Brunswick. By leveraging strategic partnerships, meaningful collaborations, and cooperation between the business community, academic and research institutions, and government sectors, Venn helps New Brunswick tech companies get to market, sustain growth, and scale their operations.
Our two organizations have a distinct alignment in mission and vision, and we’re thrilled to kick off this partnership.
THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOR GREATER MONCTON NAMES A NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

ACOA LAUNCHES REGIONAL ARTIFICAL INTELLIGENCE INITIATIVE
The Government of Canada has allocated funds to help bring new AI technologies to market and help accelerate AI adoption in sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, clean technology, and other sectors. ACOA has launched the Regional Artificial Intelligence Initiative to provide support through two streams: AI productization and commercialization, and adoption of AI applications across critical sectors. Canadian Women-led AI Accelerator in California – Now Open for Applications
Women-led Canadian AI companies are invited to apply for the Canadian Women-led AI Technology Accelerator, a program by the Canadian Consulate in Palo Alto and Quebec Trade Office. Launching virtually in February 2025, the accelerator provides targeted access to Silicon Valley investors, mentors, and workshops on pitching and growth. The program will conclude with an in-person event from March 3-6, 2025, in Palo Alto and San Francisco.

VENN INNOVATION, IDEA CENTRE & SERSC HOSTED A SPEED NETWORKING EVENT
On October 10th, we held an absolutely wonderful Speed Networking Event at the Junction by Venn. This event was put on and organized by the IDEA Centre, the Southeast Regional Service Commission, and yours truly – Venn Innovation. The event was meant to connect students from the IDEA centre to mentors around our community, and to say that the event was a huge success is an understatement. We are so incredibly proud to be a part of a community that shows up the way that they did at this event for our future generation of entrepreneurs!! A huge thank you to everyone who organized, showed up, and participated in this event.

In celebration of entrepreneurship week, the MtA experiential office is holding a 2024 Pitch Competition for students on November 23rd. We are proud to say that the team at Venn has been working with colleagues at MtA to put on a practice pitch competition on November 18th. The purpose of the practice pitch competition is for students to experience a pitch competition and receive immediate feedback in order to perfect their final pitches for the big day. We are very excited!
